Call for Short Papers

HealthCom 2012, to be held in Beijing, China, October 10-12, 2012 continues features a short paper track. The purpose of this new track is to present latest results, work in progress, and follow-up extensions or evaluations of existing methods in eHealth and related areas. The short paper should be a more focused and concise research contribution and is likely to have a narrower - yet still significant - scope of contribution than a full paper. Short papers draw from the same paper types as full papers, as well as the same list of suggested topics.

Short papers will be peer-reviewed in a one-stage process by an international program committee. They will be electronically archived and are fully citable publications. They will also be orally presented at the conference yet with shorter presentation time.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All submissions must be original works that have not been published previously in any conference proceedings, magazine, journal, or edited book.
The maximum length allowed for short papers is 4 pages (including references). All papers must be submitted in an electronic format which conforms to the IEEE proceedings style. Standard IEEE templates for Microsoft Word or LaTeX formats can be found at

http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/pubservices/confpub/AuthorTools/conferenceTemplates.html

Please be advised that the submission must strictly adhere to page limit, the conference paper submission system is now open at the site: (Please choose the “short paper” track)

CAMERA-READY PAPER SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

In order for your paper to be in the conference proceedings and IEEE Xplore you need to complete these four steps:

1.  REVISE YOUR PAPERS: Please follow the reviewers' recommendations for revising your final paper. All papers have to follow the IEEE formatting requirements for Conference Proceedings.
2.  CAREFULLY PROOFREAD: When you are done with revising, please print out your paper and proofread it and make sure the paper meets the IEEE formatting requirements.

3. REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE WITH PAYMENT:
When you are done with the registration, you will be given a Registration Code, which will be needed to upload your paper to EDAS.
It is imperative that the same author must upload the paper(s), review, and approved PDFs, and submit copyright form. (Only one e-mail address can be identified to a registration code).
If you are registering by fax, please allow 3 working days to receive your Registration Code.
Please DO NOT share your registration confirmation code with anyone else.
Although the code enables submission of up to three papers, it can be used only once, by you, to create one author account for these submissions.
The organizers of IEEE HealthCom 2012, as well as our attendees, expect accepted papers to be presented at the conference. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.
4. PAPER UPLOADING: Upload your camera-ready paper to EDAS using the EDAS paper upload form.
5. Approve your PDF file
6. Submit your copyright transfer
